Prayer Focus: REPENTANCE

Scripture: Mark 1:14-15
[14]Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
[15]And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Introduction:

Repentance is to turn away from sin, it is to turn a new leaf. To be remorseful over the bad act committed and sincerely turn away from it. One of the litmus test of our salvation is repentance, it shows that actually in Truth we have embraced a new lifestyle. Repentance is the core message of the kingdom of God, if any Shall partake of God’s kingdom he/she must genuinely repent and seek the face of God in Truth and in Spirit.

Benefits of Repentance.

  1. It makes God to draw closer to you. James 4:8
  2. It causes your prayers to be answer. 2 chronicles 7:14.
  3. It makes you useful in the hands of God for every good work: 2 Timothy 2:21
  4. It grants you access to God’s kingdom. Matthew 4:17.
  5. It will cause your sins to be wiped away: Acts 3:19
  6. It delivers you from destruction: luke 13:3
  7. It ensures fulfilment of days. Ezekiel 18:32.
  8. It ensures fulfilment of destiny. Revelation 2:5.

Prayer Point.

  1. Eternal Father, we bless your holy Name, receive all glory, honour and adoration.
  2. El-Shaddai, we thank you for the great deliverance you have shown us.
  3. Faithful God, we thank you for divine Providence.
  4. Oh Lord, we thank you for the great and deep mercies you have shown us in this season.
  5. Oh Lord, take away every heart of stone in us and give us a heart of flesh.
  6. Oh Lord, remove every spirit of disobedience, rebellion and stubbornness in us.
  7. Oh Lord, give us a heart that is prompt to repent and turn from wickedness.
  8. Oh Lord, deliver from every power that wants to destroy my soul, in Jesus name.
  9. Oh Lord, let the spirit of the fear of the Lord, rest upon my life.
  10. Oh Lord, orchestrate a disconnection between me and any person leading me in the path of sin.
  11. Oh Lord, I receive the spirit of Meekness, in Jesus name .
  12. Thank you Father for answered prayers, in Jesus name.
