Prayer Focus: dealing with evil pattern
Scripture: Matthew 22:25-27
[25]Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
[26]Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.
[27]And last of all the woman died also.
Introduction.
Patterns are prototype,model,style, design that are repeated and consistently and regarded to be a norm. There are godly pattern and ungodly pattern, When we look at the scriptures we see that when God told Moses to build, he asked him to ensure it is done according to the pattern shown to him. Moreover Jesus is called a pattern of
salvation. Even so there are evil pattern, from our text we see the families that all the seven sons died after a marrying a certain woman, Patterns are seen throughout the scriptures, example in the life of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob we see the pattern of lieing, child bearing issues in the first wives.
There are two types of pattern.
- Godly pattern
- Ungodly pattern
Godly pattern.
- Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:16
- Tabernacle building. Hebrew 8:5.
- The ark: Genesis 6:13-22
Ungodly pattern.
- Rehoboam. 2 chronicles 11:23.
- Lieing.(Abraham, Isaac, Jacob) Genesis 26:7, Genesis 12:14,19, Genesis 27:19.
- Untimely death: Matthew 22:25-27
How to break evil pattern.
- Surrender your life to Jesus.
- Genuine Repentance.
- Renounce and reject every known and unknown covenant.
- Prayer and fasting.2 chronicles 7:14.
- Sacrificial Giving. 1kings 17:13,15; Matthew 26:7.
Prayer Point.
- Father in the name of Jesus, we give you praise for the great and mighty things you have done for us.
- Mighty living God, we thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary that have brought redemption.
- Oh Lord, we thank you for your great goodness and mercy you have shown us.
- Oh Lord, I bring repentance on the Altar over my life and family, show us your mercy and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I renounce and reject every covenant sponsoring evil pattern in my life and family.
- Every covenant causing evil pattern in my life and family, break now, in Jesus mighty name.
- Every evil pattern causing Marital delay in my life and family, be broken, in Jesus mighty name.
- Any evil pattern causing poverty in my life and family, break now, in Jesus mighty name.
- Every pattern of rising and falling in my life and family, be broken now, in Jesus mighty name.
- Every altar sponsoring evil pattern in my life and family, catch fire and be razed down to ashes, in Jesus mighty name.
- I receive total breakthrough over evil pattern, in Jesus mighty name.
- Thank you Father for answered prayers, in Jesus mighty name.
