Prayer Focus: Overcoming sorcery and Divination
Scripture:
Numbers 23:23
[23]“For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done!’
Introduction:
Sorcery is simply the use of an evil supernatural power, especially black magic, over people and their affairs and also to influence or charm them.
Biblically, sorcery is the act of using spells or chatting to spirits, it is an abomination to God. Sorcery in the scripture is continually used in reference to an immoral or false practice. Sorcery can be seen as an effort to circumvent God’s knowledge and sovereignty and to worship satan instead. Divination is the practice of attempting to foretell future events or discover the knowledge by occult or supernatural means.
God hates and forbids sorcery and divination because people seek occultic practice and demonic spirits, to foretell their future or guidance instead of Him. And that Was why King Ahaziah of Israel that wanted to go to Baalzebub the god of Ekron died.
How to overcome Sorcery and Divination.
- Salvation.
- Genuine Repentance from all evil ways.
- Yield yourself to the Holyspirit
- Declare the written judgment.
- Prayer and fasting.
Prayer Point.
- Eternal King of Glory, we magnify your holy Name for there is none like you in heaven and on earth.
- Immortal Redeemer, we thank you for your marvelous kindness towards us.
- Mighty God, we thank you for delivering us from darkness into your marvelous light.
- Merciful Father, we thank you for the great and deep mercies you have shown us.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I bind every sorcerer and diviner assigned to afflict my life and family and I command all their evil works to be destroyed now.
- Father in the name of Jesus, Let every diviner working against my progress in life, run mad now.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I terminate all activities and programs of sorcery going on in my life, in the mighty name of Jesus.
- Father in the name of Jesus, I cut off their source of supply and shut the doors of divination against them, Let them be thrown into confusion.
- Let the fire of God destroy everything that grants them access to my life, in Jesus name.
- Every foundation of sorcery and Divination from paternal/maternal affecting my life, be destroyed, in Jesus mighty name.
- I plead the blood of Jesus over my life and family and I declare that we are sealed with the blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.
- Thank you Father for answered prayers, in Jesus name.
