UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

Friends are believed to be special and precious assets to have, especially when they have your best interest at heart. There are many others who treat you badly but pretend to act as if they like you. These so-called friends act safe but hurt you like an enemy in disguise. You must be careful and learn how to tackle them so they do not look at you as an easy prey.

SCRIPTURES: Luke 21:16, Psalm 55:21, Proverbs 27:6, Proverbs 18:24, 2Timothy 4:18, Job 5:12, Isaiah 54:17, 1Corinthians 15:33, Psalm 41:9.

 

SIGNS OF UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

  1. Unfriendly Friends are traitors
  2. Unfriendly friends are betrayers (Judges 14:20, Luke 21:6)
  3. They dig pit for you to fall in
  4. They are jealous and envious of your success
  5. They prefer to be ahead of you always
  6. They are satanic broadcasters that expose your weakness and failures. (Proverbs 15:2)
  7. They are fault finders.
  8. They will always hurt you and are perfectly at peace etc.
  9. They always have advice and idea to give but will wait on the other end to attack or draw out the sword. (Psalm: 55:21).
  10. They sit and listen to your words and your opinions and then rise to use them against you (Mathew: 22:15:17).
  11. They eat at your table, receive your money, gifts, clothing and promotions, and then raise their heel against you. At times they fight from the privileges gotten through you. (Psalm: 41:9).
  12. They work hand in hand with you, in order to locate your secrets, and your strategies then they will expose them or deliver them to the enemy. (Luke: 22:47-48).
  13. They prove and acted reliably even when you are careless with them, but they will attack with evidence and statements that you never knew that you have said. (Jeremiah: 9:4).
  14. They can observe and know your supports and your assistance, and then they will attack by polluting their minds against you in business and in your career. (Proverb: 16:28).
  15. They can camouflage no matter how long in order to deceive or convince you to do what you did not intend. (1Corinthians: 15:33).

 

CAUSES OF UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

  1. Envy.
  2. Jealousy.
  3. Insecurity.
  4. Inferiority feelings.
  5. Fear of unknown.
  6. Perception problems.
  7. Where a friend keeps losing to you, it could make him have bitter thoughts towards you.

 

EFFECTS OF HAVING UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

  1. You will be exposed to dangers.
  2. You may imbibe their negative traits.
  3. Your self-esteem may be lowered.
  4. An unfriendly friend may take advantage of you.
  5. Your secret will be exposed.
  6. You could be viewed as a bad friend by association.

 

HOW TO AVOID UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS

  1. Follow your intuition.
  2. Cut off ties with them.
  3. Do not entertain them.
  4. Surround yourself with positive and like-minded individuals.
  5. Set standards.
  6. Remain polite.
  7. Stay at your best and keep improving.

 

PRAYERS AGAINST UNFRIENDLY FRIENDS.

  1. Father, I thank you for all that you have done for me in this season and in this time. I give you praise and glory you for your mercy and your love.
  2. Father I declare your judgment upon every hidden unfriendly friend lurking around my household, marital life, business, and career, let the arrows of your anger land on the head of the persecutor in the name of Jesus, amen. (Psalms: 7: 13).
  3. According to your word, Father let all who have taken up wicked counsel and wicked approach towards me be consumed by your anger and let the condemnation that comes from you be upon them in Jesus name. (Psalms 7:11)
  4. Father let all unfriendly friends end up in the same way that they have planned for me in the mighty name of Jesus.
  5. Father let their lot be for destruction and let their evil mischief provoke violence on him in Jesus name.
  6. Father raise for me Hushias that will stand as your undertaking agents to confute the wisdom of my adversary who stood as a friend, but he is unfriendly in Jesus name. ( 2 Samuel 17:6-7)
  7. I declare that from this day onwards, no unfriendly friend shall gain advantage of me in Jesus mighty name.
  8. Oh Lord construct a division among their readiness and let their power fail in Jesus name. (Exodus: 8: 23).
  9. Father, I decree and declare that they will neither take root nor advance in all of their evil plots in the name of Jesus, amen.
  10. Father, I thank you for your mercy and your grace towards me. Thank you father in the name of Jesus Amen.

PSALM 7:11-13 “God is a just judge, And God is angry with the wicked every day. If he does not turn back, He will sharpen His sword; He bends His bow and makes it ready. He also prepares for Himself instruments of death; He makes His arrows into fiery shafts.” (NKJV)

  1. My Jehovah Gibbor, let your sharpened arrow fall upon any unfriendly friend that refuses to change in Jesus name Amen!
  2. Father I declare your judgment upon every hidden unfriendly friend lurking around my household, marital life, business, and career, let the arrows of your anger land on the head of the persecutor in the name of Jesus, amen.

PSALM 7:15-16 “He made a pit and dug it out, And has fallen into the ditch which he made. His trouble shall return upon his own head, And his violent dealing shall come down on his own crown.” (NKJV)

  1. Father let friends who seek my downfall fall into the same trap that they have set for me and be utterly consumed by it in Jesus Mighty Name Amen!
  2. By the power of the Holy Ghost let their arrows of wickedness backfire into their lives and make them end up in the same way that they have planned for me in Jesus Name Amen!
  3. Father let their lot be for destruction and let their evil mischief provoke violence on them.
  4. Let the anger, jealousy, envy, hatred they have meted upon me and all that concerns me fall upon them in double portion.

2 SAMUEL 15:12 “Then Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counselor, from his city—from Giloh—while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy grew strong, for the people with Absalom continually increased in number.” (NKJV)

  1. Father expose every Ahithophel who is helping me presently or had helped me in the time past, or had been with me in the time past and had counseled me, but now have joined league with my adversary to attack my life.
  2. Let the battle-ax of God cause his place be rooted off from the root and be found no more in the name of Jesus, Amen.
  3. Father in your mercy turn every counsel of the wicked into foolishness and their curses into blessing in Jesus Name Amen!
  4. Arise O Lord in your anger to silence and put to utter confusion every personal or outside friend known or unknown to me, who had exploited my privacy and is seeking to attack my family, marriage and my career, etc.
  5. My Redeemer, open my eyes of discernment to be able discern at first glance every unfriendly friend and the grace to sieve the grains from the shaft.
