DIVINE PROTECTION

INTRODUCTION

To keep safe or defend someone means you are protecting that person from hurt/harm. Therefore protection is an act of covering or shielding someone from danger. Psalm 121, reminds us of God’s constant care and concern, also it gives us the assurance that God is with us in every situation we are facing. Many people today, are afraid of sudden attacks, plagues, etc.

There are many promises and examples of protection in the Bible, God promised to protect the Israelites (Exodus 23:27). You are sure of God’s protection when you live in accordance with His foreordained plans and purpose for your life. Note that although God has the ability to deliver us out of every physical calamity or trouble, it may not be His will to do so. Sometimes He uses these trials to purify and strengthen us. At these times, we should “count it all joy.” This is because by allowing such trials, God puts our faith to test. He intends we develop our faith so that we can persevere and grow to maturity and Christ-likeness (James 1:2-3).

Protecting us from such trials would not be beneficial to us. Fear, inconsistency, and doubt in your devotion to God can make you to seek protection elsewhere. (2Timothy 1:7, 1John 4:4)

  7. Constant open heaven
  8. Indwelling of the Holy Spirit

 

HINDRANCES TO DIVINE PROTECTION

  1. Ignorance
  2. Doubt/unbelief
  3. Quest to be in control
  4. Idolatry
  5. Seeking for vainglory
  6. Sinful lifestyle

 

WHAT ATTRACTS DIVINE PROTECTION

  1. Obedience to God’s word
  2. Total trust in God.
  3. Purity/holiness
  4. Fear of God
  5. Consistent prayer
  6. Faith in God

 

PRAYERS FOR DIVINE PROTECTION

  1. Everlasting King of glory, I worship you oh Holy one, be praised forever in the name of Jesus.
  2. Almighty God, I bless your holy name for all your awesome goodness and faithfulness to me and my household.
  3. I plead for mercy over my life and family, forgive our sins in Jesus name amen.
  4. According to your word which says “I am seated with Christ in heavenly places far above principalities and powers….. ” therefore I am untouchable by any form of evil in Jesus name amen (Ephesians 2:6)
  5. Father in the name of Jesus, let those who dug a pit for me, fall into it in Jesus name amen. (Psalm 7:15)
  6. Father in the name of Jesus I stand on Isaiah 54:17 to decree over my life and family, No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper amen.
  7. Father in the name of Jesus, every gang up or conspiracy made for my downfall, boomerang on them now in Jesus name amen (Psalm 9:15)

DEUTERONOMY 28:7 “The LORD will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways” (NKJV).

  1. Father in the name of Jesus every tongue, voice, speaking against me and my family be silenced by fire amen.
  2. God of vengeance, arise and avenge those who attack me without a cause amen.
  3. God of heaven, our great defender, protect us from those enemies who are too strong for us in the name of Jesus amen
  4. I decree and declare that wherever they gather for my sake in the deep sea, land, coven,couldron, air, etc let them flee by fire in seven different ways in Jesus name amen.
  5. Father, I declare divine angelic protection over my life and family in the name of Jesus amen. (Psalm 34:7)

ZECHARIAH 2:5 “For I, says the LORD, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst” (NKJV).

  1. Father, I call forth your wall of fire to circle around me, my destiny and my family, I decree in the name of Jesus I am untouchable, unstoppable, indestructible etc amen.
  2. According to your word which says ” I am a flame of fire” (Hebrews 1:7) therefore no evil will come near my dwelling, no disaster will overtake me in Jesus mighty name amen.
  3. Father any demonic coven, altar, shrine where my name is called, God of Elijah answer them by fire in Jesus name amen.
  4. Father, I declare divine protection over my life and family in our going out and coming in, in Jesus name amen.

PSALM 91:6-7 “Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you” (NKJV).

  1. Oh Lord, I decree and declare no plague, epidemic, pandemic that is destroying lives shall see me or any of my loved ones in Jesus name amen.
  2. Though a thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, I decree in the name of Jesus, no evil shall come near my dwelling but with my eyes will I see the punishment of the wicked amen.
  3. Father though we dwell in the midst of destruction I decree it shall not harm us in the name of Jesus amen.
  4. God of war, by your mighty power and presence in my life, I pronounce confusion and war in the gathering of the kingdom of darkness, seeking for my downfall, and I decree total restoration and protection in my life and family in Jesus name amen.
